Using matching yarn or embroidery thread, sew adjoining Petals together from Centre to stitch markers / yarn scraps, using mattress st. Remove markers / yarn scraps.
Beg Second Side
Make another side like the first, reversing the order of the Petal Colours.
Finishing
DO NOT PRESS. With wrong sides together, yarn ends tucked inside and matching Petal colours, sew both sides together with matching yarn/embroidery thread by sewing a running stitch along the petal seams through both thicknesses, and using mattress st around the ends of the Petals, stuffing each Petal firmly as you go. Stuff the Centre firmly before you finish the final Petal. Sew in ends.
